Megson Out is the cry of the Bolton faithful
Both sides remain in the bottom three of the English Premier League but Hull and Phil Brown will definitely be the happier. Getting a draw after being 2-0 down after 70 minutes is definitely going to make a team happy but the psychological boost gained from it should see Hull fans enjoy their New Year.
Conversely, although Bolton Wanderers fans have never loved Gary Megson the relationship now appears to be irreconcilable. January is the busiest month of the year for divorce lawyers and there may be a parting of the ways between club and manager if the fans get their way. The TV cameras clearly caught a MEGSON OUT banner at the full time whistle.
The major decision which irked the home crowd was a substitution made by Megson when their side were 2-1 up. Klasnic, scorer of the opening goal, was removed from play with midfielder Gavin McCann replacing him in an attempt to shore up the middle of the park.
When Hull grabbed the equaliser, some fans were almost balancing out their despair with some joy at the opportunity to criticise Megson. It is unlikely that Megson would have made the decision with the hope of dropping two points but that is football.
The second Bolton goal came from Kevin Davies although the Hull goalie Myhill was responsible for the strike. This may have looked like all three points were staying at the Reebok but Stephen Hunt was on hand to rescue a point for the visitors.
Both sides had chances to steal a win at the end but a draw was a reasonably fair result.
Bolton fans, who would you rather have in charge if Megson goes?
