Shelvey heading to Anfield in a £1.7m deal?

The most important thing about the breaking news is that Charlton midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is heading to Liverpool to discuss a move and have a medical. This will capture the attention of fans who are always looking for new signings.

What may be of longer term interest is the fact that the two clubs are said to be discussing creating a form of partnership which will see a player development link created.
