With the big freeze forcing the postponement of a lot of games , the ones that do go ahead are played out in rather cold conditions. The fans need to take precautions to ensure that they are wrapped up but what about the players?

They are running about so they should be able to keep a heat about them.

However, and this may be more applicable to some of the foreign stars, there are many players who need extra protection from the frostbite.

Using layers as opposed to a heavier set of clothing is the recommended way to stay warm so there is an element of logic to the actions of the Ewood Park man. That said though, it just doesn’t seem right or certainly the way that footballers used to behave.
