Celtic swoop for Swiss star Senderos?
Loan deal for Gooner?

Celtic need to improve their backline.
That is something that even Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez would announce as FACT and the English Premier League may provide the next attempted solution for Tony Mowbray.
The internet message boards have been abuzz (aren’t they always?) with who would be coming and the Swiss defender Philippe Senderos was listed. The Sun newspaper are also running with the story about a loan deal.
The player will want to be playing regularly with the World Cup looming and with Sol Campbell back at Arsenal, Senderos has probably dropped to fourth choice.
Gallas and Vermallen have been impressive at the back for Arsenal this season so a move away from the Emirates would be of benefit to the big stopper.
There is still time for a more attractive offer to come in for the player, who has also played for AC Milan but there is no doubt a move to Celtic Park could be of benefit to all parties.
Senderos will get games and be kept busy at Celtic Park.
Arsenal will save money on the player’s wages and won’t have an unhappy player around the training ground.
Do we really need to spell out that Celtic will benefit from a strong centre half?
Celtic fans will definitely be hoping to land Senderos….and then a finisher would be next on the list.
Is the move for the Gunner a go-er?

Never in a million years.
Big name Celtic rumours usually crop up after a disappointing result, so it was probably a shock to not have a story of this ilk this morning.
You would think that a club of a higher status for the player would be interested – if the rumours about Bayern Munich are true, you’d have to say he will be off there instead.
i believe it
eto is next
he’s not very good no thank you
I don’t think Sendoros is the answer at all, a bit cumbersome. Better suited to the SPL would be Shaun St Ledger.
Senderos would improve the Celtic back four, I would improve the current Celtic back four! £30K per week though for a guy who is 6th choice at Arsenal? Not exactly the proper way of spending your transfer budget I wouldn’t have thought.
Incidentally, with circa £1.5M brought in from the sale of Caldwell & Robson and slightly more outlayed on the new Dutch centre half, how much more money do you think Celtic have to spend in this current window? Will anyone else be sacrificed to bring some more players in?
I always thought that both Brown and McDonald were potential ‘sales’ in this January window, obviously injury has curtailed that prospect. Will Boruc be sacrificed if a decent offer comes in? Mowbray has already stressed that McGeady is untouchable, but how untouchable given the perilous state of the finances in Scotland?
Yes some Celtic fans may mock the current financial state of Rangers at present, but Celtics failure to reach the Champions league this season and the possibility of missing it again, would see a £20M hole in the coffers. Surely that would have ramifications on player spends etc?
As a Rangers fan i would love Ce**ic to go for Senderos, hes one of the very worst defenders i have ever seen, hes a donut, a truly awful player. oh tony mopery must stay, liewell give him more money please, ha ha ha ha senderos!!!! LMAO ROFL this is magic, its a comedy act a the San Giro every day. Amazing, were lovin it, Senderos will only make our life easier. Go Rangers, well done Sir Walter.
I dont think it matters who we bring in this season as long as Rearrangers have the MiBs on their side, the gemme’s a bogey.
The Men In Black, brilliant. do they get their training at Area 52?
How ironic that the ‘green men’ are the ones spouting the conspiracy theories!!
I’m off now to attend the latest establishment meeting with the refs, BBC editorial team, Walter Smith and the Queen. Have to keep the ‘poops’ down.
Get a grip man.
Quagmire the Queen has nothing to do with Rangers
shes the head of our country rule britannia
And the MIB’s do?
Whilst the MIBs in Scotland are bred in places like Auchinleck to big Rangers supporting families (see Charlie Richmond) there’s no need for them to be trained in government restricted areas of America.
Jonno
Tony Mowbray is a good manager and has strengthened Celtic with his buys,Senderos will do well should he come to Celtic, had the rules of the game been applied fairly this season,Celtic would probably be 4 or 5 points clear of Rangers should we win our game in hand against kilmarnock.
You have been given a disgusting level of help so far this season,Tony Mowbray and Celtic are fine.
paranoia and celtic fans go hand in hand, its embarrassing! how about looking in the mirror, “the worlds against us” “oh, its the establishment” “oh the refs are all rangers fans” “oh the spl hate us” “oh the sfa are all against us” get a grip, you are sounding totally ridiculous!! heres to 2IAR
i just point you back to the ‘integrity’ season, when ce**ic were handed the league by the clowns running our game.
tell a lie long enough and it will stick, eh!! aye right
