But what is ‘daft’ about paying tribute to a personal religious icon and fellow countryman on the anniversary of his passing? Or is it only an issue in this country, or with one team in particular?

he made a bigger james hunt of himself coming out to clear the ball against northern ireland , missed it altogether and his boot was found up the shankill road . As odd howlers go that was the daddy.

Him doing the sign of the cross has never bothered me to be honest and really it’s all a bit ‘pantomime villain’ with Boruc if you ask me. there will be an element who would delve deeper I’m sure. The flag waving from the Broomloan end to the middle of the park was one of the funniest things I have ever seen at a football match, perhaps a bit of defiance since his team got beat that day but would still be crowned Champions, just felt that he made a right ‘James Hunt’ of himself which made me laugh!

Dont understand why the rags had a problem with him blessing himself, the Queen does it when she goes to church & its not a problem,couple of fans said it was the masturbation sign he made to them that was a problem well lets be honest he was probably correct there pretty sure they have indulged in that pastime @ sometime in there life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the saints are well organised but i hope they have a go , even at 2.1 down on sat they barely came over the half way line for long spells . i know they are hard to beat but so are rangers but we score a few too.

If he really wants to go and a good offer is received then it’s win-win situation for all. I would be sad to see him go as, despite the odd howler which even the very best keepers have occasionally, he is unquestionably the best keeper I have seen in a Celtic jersey in my lifetime. I know, the only real opposition to that is Packy Bonner but you get my drift.

Who knows, he may even get a move to a league where he will not be on the front page of arsewipe tabloid rags for simply expressing his faith as he does before every game.

The one situation that must NOT be allowed to arise is letting his contract run down meaning he can leave for nowt next year. I can’t see that being allowed to happen.

EDIT: WeKnowSFA does not condone that behaviour – just a casual joke.

St Mirren have defended well against Rangers of late but in a final at Hampen, you just cant see anything other than a comfortable Rangers win.

First goal is crucial but even then, you would think Saints will need two to win – maybe the two goal lead to really believe in themselves.

Regarding Young and Leckie, they could be one or the other, or both even. Less said about these two wannabes the better.
As for Thomson being the Ref, I have no worries about this (He is part of the ESTABLISHMENT after all lol.).
OOPS sorry for mentioning the E word.
Seriously like said above, I also think Rangers will run out comfortable winners on the Hampden pitch.

On form, Boruc is a top quality keeper. He has certainly re-gained his form this year after last seasons blunders and had it not been for him, you wonder just how many more draws or defeats Celtics dodgy defence would have conceded. Even as short as last week at Falkirk, he maintained Celtics lead with a couple of top drawer saves, equally in the Old Firm game he was in top form, easily Celtics best player.

His off-field behaviour appears to have calmed down, he looks to have passed that baton onto Alan McGregor!

I think Boruc himself will think the times is right should a top club come after him and the PLC will be desperate to balance the book after two years of missing Champions League money.
