Falkirk’s Pressley delivers another GIRUY to Hearts fans
A phenomenal roller-coaster night in Falkirk
Hearts fans used to adore Steven Pressley, a captain who wore the armband at Tynecastle with pride. Sadly, the end of his Tynecastle time ended on a sour note as the Riccarton three stood up against the clubs owners and soon after, Pressley was back at Tynecastle…in a Celtic jersey and wearing the Glasgow side’s armband.
Pressley’s celebrations at the end of a 2-1 victory really annoyed the Hearts fans, who lets face it, have no love for Celtic…but tonight in Falkirk, Steven Pressley delivered another hammer blow to the Jambos on a roller coaster night in the League Cup.
It all looked over for Hearts when they found themselves 2-0 down and a man down to the 1st division side deep into the second half but there was a dramatic turnaround to put the SPL club back in charge.
Kevin Kyle lashed home a penalty which energised the Edinburgh side and even though they were a man down, the Gorgie club grabbed an equaliser on the 74th minute when Suso Santana levelled the score on the night.
After being two down in a cup tie, some teams may have settled for extra-time but as Hearts were a man light, they decided to push on and completed an amazing turnaround when Kevin Kyle headed home to put the Jambos 3-2 up.
At this point, you would think that Falkirk could have folded as the Hearts fans celebrated as though they had won the Cup but on the 80th minute, the tie was levelled once again when Ryan Flynn fired home.
With extra-time looming, Falkirk grabbed a sensational winner when Mark Stewart, who started the game on the bench, grabbed his second goal of the game to leave Steven Pressley celebrating in front of the dejected Hearts fans yet again.
A bad night for the Jambos as their hopes for League Cup success disintegrated after a sensational game of football.

Sounds like it could have been the best tie for the TV, can’t say I’m looking forward to Ross County v Dundee Utd.
Well done Falkirk
Isn’t it fun being in Division One!
