What will the fans make of Rangers v Aberdeen?
Could be a strange one to reason out.

A comfortable home win should be enough to make the majority of the fans go home happy but you get the feeling that some Rangers fans will be trooping home with a touch of disappointment. Equally, travelling a long distance and seeing your team put up a limp performance is usually quite upsetting but the Aberdeen fans applauded their team off the park!
Such is the crazy world of Scottish football.
Rangers fans will have wanted a barrow load of goals against Aberdeen today, partly to wipe away the memory of Wednesday night’s thumping defeat from Hibs but also because it was against the Dons. Last weekend Aberdeen travelled home from Glasgow with a 9-0 defeat and Rangers fans were after some of that.
Then again, as every Rangers fan would have told you in advance of the game, that sort of score line would never have happened because Aberdeen deliberately lost heavily to Celtic but would do everything within their power to halt Rangers.
In that respect, some Rangers fans can go home happy whilst saying “I told you so”.
The point is, Aberdeen are a below average team at the best of times and as they are experiencing a few injuries, they are going to be even weaker. The last few defeats probably convinced Mark McGhee to batten down the hatches even more at Ibrox, even though Hibs showed what can happen at Ibrox when you attack.
It should also be said that Rangers didn’t help themselves with regards to scoring goals today. Kenny Miller missed a penalty just before half-time which meant he was unable to add to his opening goal, a fine header. Vladimir Weiss was involved in Miller’s goal and the loan player grabbed the second goal of the game but the scoring ended there.
Steven Naismith missed a sitter in the second half but the match petered out without too much to remember.
Rangers opened up a 4 point gap at the top of the league whilst Aberdeen probably felt there was slight progress made….but no one was probably 100% happy at the outcome of the game.
