The end game appears to be in sight for Kenny Miller at Ibrox with STV and the Birmingham City website announcing that the striker is bound for Turkey. There has been much speculation of the forward’s future and Bursaspor were linked with Miller after the Champions League match when he scored in Turkey.

However, recent talk has been about the Blues down south and Fiorentina jousting for the player but Bursaspor appear to have won the race to sign him. The speculation is that Miller will fly out tomorrow to complete a medical and sign a two and half year contract.

There are also suggestions that Rangers and their Turkish counterparts are still to agree a fee for the striker but if Miller and his agent have decided they are off to Turkey, the Ibrox side are negotiating from a weak position. It is get what they can now for Miller or lose him for nothing in the summer.

Rangers fans will no doubt be up in arms once again over this potential loss but with the return of Nikica Jelavic, Rangers are theoretically no worse off than they have been since the strikers injury sidelined him in October.

More pressing matters for Rangers comes in the shape of Inverness Caley and in fielding enough fit defenders to start the match. Madjid Bougherra is suspended whilst Sasa Papac and Steven Whittaker are both struggling with Rangers. Walter Smith has a number of options available to him including dragging Lee McCulloch back or seeing if Andy Webster fancies a kickabout but the situation is not ideal for the Ibrox camp.

Tonights match presents Rangers with the opportunity to cut the gap at the top to two points and still have two games in hand over Celtic. Inverness Caley grabbed a draw at Ibrox on their last visit and a win the previous time but it would be a shock if they managed to avoid Ibrox defeat three times in a row…especially with so much at stake for Rangers.

If Kenny Miller goes, will Rangers be that affected?
