Rangers do Celtic a little favour at Tannadice
Champions can’t find a way to grab all three points

There were some Rangers fans who wouldn’t have been too upset at the thought of losing at Tannadice. After all, three points for the home side would have kept the Arabs hot on the heels of Celtic for 2nd place in the SPL.
If United can overhaul the hoops, Rangers fans are liable to spend the summer in tears of laughter at the season just past.
However, that sort of talk was not coming from the Rangers squad and they will no doubt feel annoyed that they were unable to convert their late chances to all 3 points.
Kenny Miller hit the post very late on and of course Rangers did have the ball in the net after Nacho Novo rammed home. However, Kris Boyd was clearly offside meaning both teams shared the spoils.
Even though there is still another Tannadice clash still to come between the two sides, the two sides know each other very well and this showed in a match that was more huff and puff as opposed to touch and go silky football.
Kyle Lafferty was again at the centre of madness on the park, with the lanky Northern Irish international suckering another defender into acting like an idiot. For all that he looks to have been the kid who was left behind for a couple of years, Lafferty certainly knows how to draw in opposition players and Kovacevic can have no complaints about his red card.
Lafferty did make sure the ref saw it all with an over-egged collapse to the ground but the United defender did the damage himself.
So…the title is still left un-won and the champers remains on ice. Rangers fans will be keeping an eye on the Celtic result versus Hibs on Saturday to see if there will be a potential party at Ibrox on the Sunday.
Anything other than a home win at Celtic Park will give Rangers the chance to clinch their 53rd league title at Ibrox.
However, if Celtic can grab all three points, Rangers title hunt will roll on until at least the following week.
Rangers fans, when will you clinch the title?
