Rangers on a roll until next Celtic game

On paper, a straightforward time for Rangers

WeKnowSFA - Glasgow Rangers

At the start of December, many people were looking at Rangers fixture list and predicting the Ibrox club may be dropping points.

26 goals blew this idea out of the water as the Ibrox side found top gear and went to Celtic Park for the New Year fixture with a 7 point lead.

Rangers may have been outplayed by Celtic but the score line read 1-1 and the score is the only thing that matters.

With this game behind them, Rangers can look forward to the next set of fixtures and on paper; it is looking good for the champions.

The party line will be to take one game at a time but with these games before Celtic come calling again, Rangers fans will be confident of keeping their lead…if not extending it.

Away to Hamilton
Home versus Hearts
Away to St Mirren
Home versus Falkirk
Away to Motherwell
Home to Hibs
Away to St Johnstone
Home versus Celtic

The SPL has the habit of turning up some shocks so Rangers may not be able to take all of the points up for grabs but you would have to fancy them to take close to maximum points.

This could really increase the pressure on Celtic.

Gers fans, do you expect the team to win all of these games?

You’re right about not taking all the points, the SPL does indeed “turn up some shocks”!!
Hamilton, hertz, st minging, Falkirk, murderwell and st johnstone you can bet your last buck on, with some staggering goal lines, I wouldn’t be surprised never went into double figures for one or two games (it’s just a shame they can’t play Dumfermline for the last game of the season, that would assure no slip ups!!), but I would indeed be shocked if Hibs lay down to the huns, but hey you never know!
But never mind, if rangers get the same treatment from the SPL/SFA and match officials as wattie has been demanding (and getting!!) I really don’t see them having many problems!

Ps. is there not some kind of rule about slagging of match officials? Especially ones who are about to officiate an OF game?
I’m sure the head of the SFA (who no one could possibly say has any reason to favour the huns, or his assistant or his assistant……..em!) will have been to busy tapping up Dundee Utd managers directly before a rangers game of course (which rangers romped strangely enough) to have been taking any notice!! (it was nice to see Dun Utd coming to heel last week, by doing the huns a wee favour by hanging a bag of dirty washing over the crossbar instead of a real goalkeeper, very helpful indeed!!)
Maybe they never heard what wattie had to say right enough, I mean it’s not as if it’s the first time the cantacarous auld ned has been aggressive to match officials, players, other managers, groundstaff, ballboys, the guy who drives the team bus………etc, but it’s only harmless old wattie eh! He’s a terribl;e man,…….. or the biggestned that ever sat on a poe, depending how you look at it!!
But it’s all ok now, mr wattie is more than satisfied with yesterdays match officials, yes indeedy.

    Thanks Max.

Rangers should be strong enough to get through all of their games without the need for any assistance.

WeKnowSFA certainly agree they got the decisions yesterday but they won’t need much assistance to get past most teams. In fact, you can expect Rangers to maybe get one or two decisions against them in these games…after all, “it all balances out over the course of a season”

As for what you can / cant say about refs – it would be interesting to know what the guidelines are, there certainly has been some elements of inconsistency on this matter.

Still waiting for the answer as to how the SFA deal with after game disiplinary matters?
SEVEN bookings for the darkside, but quite amazingly (if you watch the game) not any player booked twice!!
Considering Laughing boy and mccollochs performances marks a new low in hunrefery.
Why wasn’t laughinstock not booked for BLATANT DIVING, when if it’s obvious the refs going to ignore his histrionics IT MUST BE A BOOKING OFFENCE, thems are the rules!
But no the ‘ref’ bottled it just as mr wattie intended!

How many times, when Celtic were on the attack, did the ‘ref’ stop the game because a rangers player decided it would be a very good idea to have a we lie doon??
Yet when one of the same players tryed the same tactic but the run of play changed in the huns favour the player was completely ignored.

I’ve watched Fortunés GOAL many many times and there is no reason whatsoever for that GOAL not to stand, and anyone who says otherwise is a barefaced liar or totally self deluded!
SO WHY WAS IT CHOPPED OFF???
Fortuné was also deemed offside ten minutes later running in for a one on one with mythgregor for no reason at all.
And if anyone thinks that laughinboy didn’t deserve a straight red for his challenge on Hinkle is a thug and a scumbag.
    END OF!!

It’s always been common knowledge that the Celtic fans paranoia knows no bounds, especially after any match that they fail to win.
We know that they blame everyone from the referee, the SPL, the SFA, even though 9 times out of 10 it is simply been down to their own inadaquices in trying to break down the opposition team.
The rant – and I can’t think of any other word for it – that Max has just got through above just beggars belief though.
At times I would say his comments are bordering on liebolous.
He is basically saying that Gordon Smith is unable to do his job as the cheif executive of the SFA without having a 100% bias towards Rangers & thus against Celtic.
He then has the cheek to state that 11 proffesional football players playing for Dundee Utd have went into a game with Rangers with the intention of making sure they end up on the losing side.
I think that Max’s time would be alot better served worrying about the mountain of problems that are growing at his own club at the moment without worrying about what is going on at the rest of Scottish football & making these absolutely ridiculous remarks.
