Now its no Songs For Grella from Well fans
Loan deal terminated

Just yesterday, Motherwell fans were delighted at capturing Leeds United striker Mike Grella on loan until the end of the season but that joy has bee very short-lived. Just 24 hours on, the SFA have refused to sanction the loan deal because Grella has already played for Leeds and Carlisle this season. FIFA rules stipulate a player can be registered to three clubs in the course of a season but can only play for two.
This means that Motherwell are unable to field the player which means the loan agreement has been terminated.
This will be bad news for Well boss Stuart McCall but surely someone at the club should have been aware of the rules? In saying that, it can be difficult to keep up with the variety of football rules these days but thankfully for Well, it was noticed before Grella took to the field for them. If that had happened, it could have opened up a completely different scenario.
There is still over a week of the January transfer window to go so Motherwell still have time to bring a striker in. Whether McCall will be able to do so in time and on budget is a different matter but the possibility is open to the Fir Park club.

Certainly a cock up, but in tIeIs defences, It does appear the FA, FA and FIFA have varying interpretations of the loan rules in this case.
Er, ‘in their defence’.
Er, ‘FA and SFA’. Bloody phone…
Signing him would have been a ‘Walk On The Wild Side’ anyway. Apparently a new signing is imminent, they are just ‘Waiting For The Man’ to get on a flight from ‘Berlin’.
See what u have started now Ed!
We did hear rumours that some one was coming in on the Paris 1919 flight.
